Biosphere Schools

West Buckland, Park, Braunton, Pilton and Bideford Schools have joined together in the Biosphere Schools Partnership to exploit the potential of the Reserve for out-of-class room learning. The geographical focus is on North Devon, with a particular emphasis on the Biosphere Reserve, one of over 500 UNESCO designated areas around the world.

They have produced a virtual fieldwork website called northdevongeography.co.uk designed to take students through practical investigations in the North Devon Biosphere Reserve. The website contains geographical investigations and information for pupils, teachers and members of the public. After registering you can add your own data, photographs, observations, opinions and information to the website.
