Braunton Countryside Centre Course

GETTING TO KNOW THE BRAUNTON COUNTRYSIDE

A five week course on Thursday evenings from 19:30 to 21:30

The course aims to introduce some of the key characteristics of the countryside around Braunton.  The format is informal, with talks and illustrations and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and discuss points of interest.

Thursday 25 February:  Geology, landforms and scenery. Paul Madgett

Thursday 4 March:Landscape history. John Bradbeer          

Thursday 11 March: Wildlife of Braunton. Mary Breeds

Thursday 18 March: Buildings of Braunton. Maggie Ford

Thursday 25 March: Challenges and opportunities for Braunton's countryside in the 21st century. John Bradbeer, Mary Breeds, Maggie Ford and Paul Madgett.

The cost of the course will be £12 for the five evenings, or £3-00 for each evening session. We shall be happy to take payment at the first session.

Venue:  Braunton Countryside Centre (by Caen Street car park; free parking in evenings)

We shall be using small side room, as this is easily heated! - but numbers will have to be restricted to between 15 and 18.  So please book early to avoid disappointment.
