Award winning environmental poet performs in Bideford (16/04/2010)
Environmental campaigner and BBC Radio 4 National Slam Poetry Champion Ben Mellor visited NorthDevon's Biosphere Reserve at the end of March and created a new piece of poetry based on a combination of species particular to the North Devon Biosphere area, some of which are endangered or have become extinct to the region or even the country, and characters he imagined from the places he visited. Biosphere Beach Clean Weekend (17/02/2010)
Average litter levels on UK beaches are on the increase year on year, causing pollution and posing a danger to wildlife. The Biosphere Reserve team are tackling the litter debris problem head on, by appealing for volunteers throughout North Devon to join forces with them. Such a concerted, large scale effort from Lynton to Cornwall will help keep our beaches looking great and protect the wildlife from the hazards of litter. Read more >>
