Map information

Why is there difference in the number of pointers vs the number of individual supporters?

1.      There aren't just supporters on the map - we also have pointers for Biosphere Schools, Points of Interest (currently just showing Local Nature Reserves), our supporter parishes and accredited businesses (not currently showing).

2.      Not all supporters can be plotted - some of our supporters come from outside the United Kingdom and the map won't plot international postcodes. People can also make a mistake and enter an invalid postcode. These can't be plotted either.

3.      Sometimes supporters come from the same postcode and so will only be plotted once

4.      Google, who provide the map information, may not let us show all the pointers at busy periods (rate limiting).

5.      An error may have occurred and no pointers be shown. If you think there might be an error downloading the map information, try refreshing the page (Ctrl F5)

We want to have supporters across the Biosphere Reserve area so please, encourage your friends and colleagues to support us too. The more support we have the more we can do!!
