Andy Bell north devon UNESCO Biosphere Coordinator Andy is responsible for developing the North Devon UNESCO Biosphere. He is our favourite boffin and all round good guy. |
Gillian Wright Administrator Gillian supports the project teams whilst also being responsible for office management, newsletter production, and general/financial administrative duties. |
Tom Hooper Partnership & operations MANAGER Tom assists Andy in managing the North Devon UNESCO Biosphere Partnership by ensuring the effective operation of working groups, coordinating logistics and reporting progress against the 2025–2035 strategy. He also provides operational support to both the North Devon Biosphere Team and the Foundation. |
Ed Jenner FINANCE MANAGER Ed looks after the accounting and financial matters of the foundation and assists with the DEFRA test and trials work. |
Heather Harris Climate Change & UNESCO Heritage Project Manager Heather manages our Shared Outcomes project and liaises with the team at UNESCO. |
Sarah Jordan NATURE TOURISM OFFICER / BIOSPHERE BUSINESS PARTNER COORDINATOR Sarah supports tourism businesses across our biosphere by helping them to promote the multitude of natural highlights and adventure activities in our area. She also coordinates our Eco-Accreditation Scheme - Biosphere Business Partners. |
Jack Woolfenden TAW VALLEY & LITTLE DART LANDOWNERS GROUP FACILITATOR and Biosphere Communities Animator (South Molton) Jack coordinates the Taw Valley & Little Dart Group, running workshops to support farmers & landowners within the catchment. He also leads our Climate & Nature Hub in South Molton. |
Hannah Nash MARINE PROJECTS COORdinator Hannah coordinates the marine projects of our Biosphere, which involves working across many stakeholder groups. She also scopes future marine projects and funding proposals. |
Rob Isaac lead ecologist Rob is lead ecologist and supports two of our ongoing projects by conducting terrestrial ecology assessments and design monitoring schemes; he also delivers ecology focused community & youth engagement activities. |
Tom Humphreys BIOSPHERE COMMUNITIES PROJECT COORINATOR Tom leads our Biosphere Communities Project, empowering groups and individuals to champion nature's recovery in their local area and offer sustainable solutions to the shared environmental and social challenges faced by communities across our Biosphere. |
Stephan Price BIOSPHERE COMMUNITIES project ADMINISTRATOR Stephan supports the Biosphere Communities Project team, whilst also liaising with community groups and delivery partners to ensure the smooth-running of the project. He also looks after communications. |
Martha Boalch biosphere communities animator (appledore) Martha leads our Climate & Nature Hub in Appledore, working with groups such as Earth Action North Devon and Taw Torridge Estuary Forum. |
Katy Lee biosphere communities animator (bideford) Katy leads our Climate & Nature Hub in Bideford, working with groups such as Bideford Sustainability Group (BSG) and Torridge Growing Together (TGT). |
Amy Roberts biosphere communities animator (ashreignEy & chulmleigh) Amy leads our Climate & Nature Hub in Chulmleigh & Ashreiney, working with groups such as Sustainable Chulmleigh, and the Ashreigney & Riddlecombe Nature Recovery Group. |
Sean Webber devon woods project manager Sean manages the Devon Woods project, which uses woodland and wetland creation to restore ecosystems: improving water quality, reducing flood risk, providing habitat for wildlife, sequestering carbon, and generating sustainable materials. |
