The North Devon Biosphere and the Plough Arts Centre in Torrington have teamed up to bring the amazing Project Wild Thing film, described by the Guardian “as a film that will change your life”, to North Devon.
The film is an ambitious, feature-length documentary that takes a funny and revealing look at a complex issue, the increasingly disparate connection between children and nature. It is showing at the Plough Arts Centre during school half term on Monday 17 February at 5pm & Thursday 20 February 5:30pm. Box Office
Matt Edworthy from the Biosphere says, “this film is a real eye opener that reveals the value of the ultimate free wonder-product: Nature. More and more scientific research shows the benefits of connecting with the environment and strengthening this connection is a key aim of the Biosphere. We are really pleased to bring the film here and urge as many people as possible to watch it."
Caroline de Groot from the The Plough arts centre explains, “this is just the film to inspire your half term and open your children’s world. It is a nationwide marketing campaign to get us up and out and there are so many wonderful outdoor places to go here in in north Devon.
Project wildthing is a film led movement set up by film maker and father David Bond to get more kids (and their folks!) outside and reconnecting with nature.
