There are an increasing number of new revenue opportunities for landowners, through managing land in a way that is good for the planet.  This includes grants and private finance schemes (carbon markets, biodiversity net gain, etc.).

• Carbon markets – putting together at-scale woodland carbon, soil carbon, and saltmarsh carbon schemes, including find buyers (and where needed, investors)
• Natural flood management (NFM) – helping landowners take forward NFM measures, and secure new associated revenue streams
• Mobile sawmill – the NCM now has a Norbord LumberMax HD38 Sawmill to help landowners bring unmanaged woodland into management, and to enable profitable harvesting of timber
• Developing business plans – for individual landowners and collectives (including Landscape Recovery Projects)
• Ecologist support – baselines, habitat management plans
• Legal agreements – applying to be a Responsible Body to be able to take forward Conservation Covenants
