New Apprentices join the North Devon UNESCO Biosphere Team

The North Devon Biosphere have recently welcomed two new members to the team, John and Fin.
 
John is joining as a Kickstart Web and Technology Support Executive after completing his BSc in Applied Computing Technologies. He says, “I've always enjoyed the natural world, and I wanted to work for the Biosphere because I believe that computing technology shouldn't destroy our environment, it should preserve and study it.” Johns’ wide knowledge of computing technologies will be valuable to the Biosphere and mentions “exploring the possibilities of various web technologies is the reason I work for the Biosphere.”
 
Fin has joined the team as a Kickstart Operations and Project Management Support Executive. Having moved back to North Devon after finishing his degree from the University of South Wales, he’s “looking forward to supporting the wide range of projects our Biosphere is working on to develop a more sustainable environment.” Fin will be assisting in most of our projects in some capacity and is “eager to advance his project management skills” during his time here.
 
Nicola Corrigan, Operations Manager commented on the new starters who are employed through the Governments Kickstart programme “This scheme is a great opportunity for us to hire local talent and to help apprentices develop their skills and experience in the environmental sector. We are really pleased to welcome John and Fin to the team who have already proved they are motivated to support our organisation and exciting new projects.”
